A new level of "Blown out of Proportion"!
While the filters were laid on a little heavily, the plot and gags made up for it, as well as animation. I was really suprised by how much you've improved since Awesome's Creed. You've even developed your own style of art and animation. That's a real gift.
Hope to see more of this random sort of thing.
Expertly composed!
First off, let me say that the humor was exactly my kind. I loved the subtle jokes that were both dramatic and comically relieving. The plot itself was entertaining alone. Seriously, an obsessive, abandoned box seeking vengeance upon his former inhabitant until the latter is driven to slaying him is nothing but funny.
The animation had an interesting style. With your troll-like style, every character had to move according to his body type. The large heads worked well because they were what really emphasized the emotions and background of a character (each character matched the stereotype they were intended to represent).
If this is what your first toon is like, I can't wait to see your next.
Obvious "Fuck Children" Inspiration
Nice, short, little toon. Really enjoyed the fluidity of the movements that would be unnecessary in real life. This and the colors gave the real trippy effect.
Good job.
I never did...
Wonderful parodious parody!
I only really played source a couple times around three months ago. Helluva good game. I recognized the map, which you expertly transposed into Flash with a consistent style and flawless perspective.
While some characters were flat and simply "placeholders," if you will, for the action to remain at the optimum level, the more unique characters, such as Dumbass really came to life for comic relief. I especially loved him and Lagger due to their completely original styles and tendencies (I loved Lagger's flicker effect, BTW). The music choice was a pretty epic combo. The Zepp Overture is a bit overused, but I still liked that it was kept constant with the whole "plot twist" atmosphere.
Overall, this was a thoroughly enjoyable flash - completely well-rounded. I must have watched it about a dozen times before reviewing.
Amazingly unique!
You madness style has a real cartoony feel. The thick lines and the fluid (almost gelatin-like) motions really make this interesting. The 3d effects and clever effects left me seriously dazzled. I like how you liked together the episodes and really let the shit hit the fan this episode. Everything constituted as one cartoon makes this worthy of a ten and a distinguished short among Madness toons.
Meh
You obviously tried too hard with the humor. This was just too predictable and dry. Probably the only part where I chuckled was the Holocaust gag.
What made John McCain funny was the versatility of sprites matched the zombie-like appearances of the characters. The ferrets, personally needed less stiffness to act out the humor. They are wormy, wiggling creatures, not stiff ones.
I know this is not an example of your best work, so whip up something soon. =3
I'm at a loss of what to say.
Really, I am. Don't get me wrong. I loved the nonsensical situation. Unless there's some inside joke, I have no idea why John McCain would be hallucinating about and singing to vegetables. The effects were great as well as the animation. However you managed to pull it off with zero lag is amazing.
If I don't ruin the idea by saying this, I'm looking forward to a sequel about maybe Obama and watermelons. *hint hint*
