Alpha-Nuva's News

Finally finished the Stainville Theme Intro. More accurately, it's been done for about two days, now. Never got around to posting. It's looking pretty snazzy, too - all nice and shaded. So keep your eyes peeled for the updates to come... like this one!

Intro's finished!

Not sure if I can really tell you when Stainville 2's gonna be finished. With college coming up, I'll be making some big lifestyle and time management changes. So, don't expect it until I figure out where I can fit it into my schedule. This may not be for a while.

However, I CAN tell you when Stainville 2 was started, and that was a couple days ago. Things are going splendidly. I'm putting a lot of care into animating this, even incorporating a little bit of two-cell shading (the things I do for you guys!).The script still needs some kinks worked out, but Scott and I have been hard at work making due changes to the formula of the episode. We hope you appreciate our labors when we present you with the final product. Until then, chew on this bit.

Here's the basic scheme of things...

In case you missed the first one here it is in all it's glory,

And in case you want another one - well, wait a couple of months. I'm heading off to college on the 21st of August, but until then I shall be prepping for and possibly even starting on the second episode of Stainville, featuring a more coherent plot, more characters, and more anthropomorphic genitalia.

I've already began working on a basic script. This weekend I will be conferencing with Scott (who voiced Scoota Lank in the animation) and working on the smaller details of the script to get the most out of it that we can. Already, we've got some really whacky and creative ideas going on.

Had I not received such a positive response from the interwebs (most you on Newgrounds), I would probably not have had the drive to start on a sequel so early. As a thank you, I whipped up a preview of what episode two is going to look like. Thanks a bunch! =D

Oh, and join us on Facebook!

Stainville Episode 2 - Already underway (sort of)

Finished last night, along with a slew of exporting problems. All's good, though. Turns out scenes in Flash are a lot more useful than people give them credit for. I'm gonna hop on voicing the parts and syncing sounds up by tonight, if not tomorrow.

Just as a heads-up, you'll either really like or really hate this cartoon. The humor is at a rock bottom maturity level and has no taste whatsoever. We're still figuring out in what direction we want our comic genius to go.

Until then, enjoy this final screenshot.

Animation done. Now just a matter of adding sfx and voices.

I am not continuing Hunt of the Shoopacabra 2. I repeat, NOT.

However, I thought a lot of you would enjoy looking at what would have been the first scene of it. I started this about two years ago and revisited it about a year ago to touch it up. This was the result.

Hunt of the Shoop 2 Pt. 2 (Scene 1)

Cool, eh?

In other news, I'm almost finished with my other unnamed project. It's coming out terribly, but whatever, I'm kinda glad to be finishing it. Expect it in about two weeks.

What would have been...

With the arrival of MC10, I've kicked my ass back into gear with flash and cranked out a couple short clips for the new toon. I even recorded the audio with some friends a couple week back. Gonna be out in a month or two, assuming I don't lose focus again.

Back to work

Nearing a minute of runtime. I've barely worked on this thing for two weeks. This is gonna be some funny shit.

Making excellent progress, still.

After some consulting with a few friends about a plot for a cartoon, we've started work on it. Or at least I have, being the animator. They'll be covering audio and other shit, so expect something looking pretty slick.

Here's a couple screenshots to ponder.
