Possibly scrapping the idea of a Madness toon for now. College is coming up, high school's ending, lotsa free time. But not for animating. A couple friends and I are considering an original animated series that we're prolly gonna start working on in February or March. I'll maybe squeeze out Reboot 2 or Redness 3, but definitely not any time soon.
Don't argue with me and say I should do something else. That will only cause me to resent you and make me want to return to Madness even less. =]
btdubs, i maed a sketch. u liek?

I'm almost there. The animation runs currently over 2 mins and will be expected to even out around 2:30. I spent the weekend over a friend's house and hammered out a nice ten seconds over three hours (which is a lot, if you think about it).
Tomfitz did not complete his song, but I managed to use the first half of it for the intro. The end of the animation will be using a portal remix of the song I originally intended to use. I give props to Tom and this new user whose song you'll see featured on the 23rd (the expected release date).
P.S. If this scores lower than Punkinhead, someone's gonna get shot.

A minute and 9 seconds. And in only three weeks.
I'm really enjoying the environment I'm creating with this animation. With a wide variety of winter sound effects and a lue-tinted color scheme, this is really developing a seasonal feel. The animation rarely gets tedious, and there's so much more special effects than in Punkin' Head.
I have an intro almost down, with full cell-shading (sometimes even three dynamics in shade). From there, it's simple, one shade animations. Then all I have to do is submit for you all the enjoy.

I love animating this little tassel thingy.
But more importantly, despite obligations in real life, I'm belting this out decently fast, considering how much detail I'm including. Music was going to be something pretty epic, but it turned out to be commercial audio (in other words, I'd be disqualified from the winter contest for using it). Luckily, Tomfitz is coming through for me again, putting his artistic abilities to the test in order to emulate the original song. He'll no doubt have something epic.
Check out his corner of NewGrounds. I feel like he's really underrated as a musician: http://tomfitz.newgrounds.com
Oh, and here's an angry snowman... with a tassel thingy.

Get it? Flash? Like Macromedia Flash? Get it?
This was a project I started last year, never finished, scrapped, and am now completely remaking. This is proving to be much better than Punkin Head.
